The Dog Argentino is a large, white, muscular type of dog that was developed in Argentina chiefly for the purpose of big-game hunting, including wild boar. It was first raised in 1928 by the Cordoba fighting dog.

Physical Characteristics:

The Dogo Argentino is a large white short-coated dog with black spots on its skin and a muscular and strong body that infrequently has any markings on its coat. The head has a broad, slightly round skull and the muzzle is slightly higher at the nose than the stop when viewed. The tail is low, thick at the base, and tapers to a point.

Color(s):

The Argentino Dogo exists in colors White.

Temperament:

The Dogo Argentino is an intelligent and brave dog with a strong, natural character to protect its home and family. The Dogo Argentino is a very common dog and is happiest when included in all family activities. The dog makes a strong difference between familiar people and strangers, so it is bossy that it is well-trained and socialized at an early age.

Coat:

 The Dogo Argentino has a thick, glossy coat

Care:

It is significant to provide Dogo Argentinos with an abundance of exercises and mental motivation, as they may become bored, anxious, and destructive if their needs are not encountered. As with dogs of any breed, you should keep up with regular check-ups, keep their teeth clean, and groom them as needed. They should have their ears checked weekly and their nails trimmed monthly. Ask your veterinarian about your individual dog's needs and make sure you keep up with at-home care.

Health Issues:

The Dogo Argentino is inclined to a few health problems. One of the major issues is deafness, with about 10 percent of dogs in the breed being deaf in one or both ears. This is termed pigment-related deafness and is found in other mostly white-colored dogs, including Dalmatians, white Boxers, and white Bull Terriers. The breed may develop other conditions, counting hypothyroidism, glaucoma, and laryngeal paralysis. Dogo Argentino also suffers from hip dysplasia, which is common amongst large breeds.

 Size:

 A Male Argentino Dogo’s weight comes under 45–50 kg and height come under 60–68 cm while a Female Argentino Dogo’s weight comes under 35–40 kg and height come under 60–65 cm.

Life span:

 With excellent care of them, your Argentino Dogo could live between 10 – 15 years.
